DESCRIPTION:Seeking Champion Volunteers: Do you want to become a Dementia Friends Champion? \nA champion attends an additional training to be able to present Dementia Friends Information sessions to the public. Champion Volunteers are asked to present at least to sessions per year. \nThe Champion training will be offered via Zoom. The first hour of the training is a normal Dementia Friends session\, and the second hour is training on how to be successful as a Champion presenter. \nQuestions? You’ll learn some basics of dementia such as what dementia is\, what it’s like to live with the disease\, and some tips for communicating with people who have dementia. Everyone who attends is asked to turn their new understanding of dementia into a practical action that can help someone living in your community.
