The Dementia Friendly Marion County initiative promotes AWARENESS of dementia: its signs, symptoms, resources for assistance and support, and ways to reduce its stigma. We also seek to EDUCATE through COLLABORATION with local businesses, organizations, and entities in our community to further these objectives. We will facilitate and promote the program through Dementia Friendly sessions, simulation exercises, and other opportunities to promote positive messages about dementia. It is our desire to IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE for those living with dementia, their families, and their caregivers.
