Dementia Friendly Dubuque wishes to promote change and education in the community to create a more informed, safe, and respectful place for people living with dementia and their caregivers. They plan to expand their heritage of strong support for families impacted by dementia and strengthen the programming in the Dubuque Community from smaller advocate groups to the community at large. Several members of the action team are trained as Dementia Friends Champions to offer Dementia Friends informational sessions in addition to specialized Dementia Friendly business trainings.
Dementia Friendly Dubuque 2024 action team meetings: January 11, April 11, July 11, & October 10.
