Become a Dementia Friend (West Des Moines)!

You can become a Dementia Friend by attending a one-hour informational session to learn about living with dementia and the simple things you can do to support someone living with dementia.
This one-hour session is a session led by Dementia Friends Champion, Denise Kluever. Denise has experience with dementia through her career as an occupational therapist and as a current family caregiver. Kevin Dill, who is currently living with dementia, will also share about his personal experiences at the session. You’ll learn more about what dementia is, how it can affect a person, some communication tips, local resources, and other ways to support people living with dementia.
